A bit about Rum

Today, I got some photos from Jessica who adopted Rum out to me.
Jessica works for Caring Friends Cat Rescue (click!).

These photos were taken when Rum was still with her brother at her foster home. They were around 7 weeks old.

 Baby Rum! How cute!

Rum's brother Munchkin. How handsome.

Munchkin and Rum.

Rum and her foster mom Padme

Rum and Munchkin's actual mom came into the shelter when she was very sick and pregnant.
The shelter vaccinated her and that's probably what caused Munchkin to be born with one useful lung and Rum to be born so tiny.
Also that probably caused their mom to dry up quickly, that's why Rum and Munchkin were raised by Padme.

Rum is 1yr old now and is still tiny but has big attitudes!

Loves to sleep!

 Loves her sister.

We love you :)

Noni is here 3

Kiki doesn't understand how come Noni's got so much bigger.
Until a few months ago Noni was a tiny kitten.

Rum gets shy when Noni is visiting.

Noni is pretty impressed with this cat superhighway we built.

Rum is still acting shy. I know she wants to play with her fun cousin.

Kiki and Noni cannot get enough of these shelves.
Too much fun!

Finally Rum joins and says "HELLO!" to Noni.

Noni is here 2

This weekend we had Noni over.
She's from Caring Friends Cat Rescue (click!) just like Kiki and Rum.
My sister in law adopted her last winter when Noni was 4 months old.

Amazing blue eyes!

You still have baby fat Noni?

One Saturday afternoon

Around 2pm. The cats fall asleep...

Kiki loves this spot. She talks to the birds on the tree outside, looks at neighbors walking their dogs, watching people in the street, etc.

And Rum usually takes a nap on the sofa.
She likes being close to someone.

...And cuddling something.

Guess who's home!
Rum is just a happy girl next to her daddy.
She loves weekends.

zzzzz...

Catification!

We just received some amazing stuff from Contempo Cat (click!) to finish off "catifying" our home.

We have done some work before (click!) but didn't quite finish everything.
So today we are going to complete our "cat superhighway" that is inspired by my hero Jackson Galaxy!

My husband does all the physical wok. I'm in charge of taking pictures for Giggly Cats. We both have tough jobs.

Rum is trying to help daddy.

This triangle is to cover the wall speaker. And the girls won't try to land on it.

 Done!! It looks good!

"On any good superhighway, you need to have ample lanes to accommodate the flow of traffic, as well as on- and off-ramps. In a multi-cat household, sharing a lane of traffic can cause conflict. Cats shouldn’t have to compete for space on a one lane dirt road."
- Jackson Galaxy

The girls started checking the new shelves out.

Rum has never seen this canvas photo from that angle.

"This is lots of fun!!"

Triangle noses

One of the things I love about cats is their triangle shaped noses.. Ah how cute!
So as always I take a close look at Kiki and Rum's noses when they are resting on the cat tree.
